Participatory Development and Training (PDaT)

PDaT provides consultants to international and national development initiatives to ensure program and project activities meet the needs of the intended beneficiaries. Through participatory development processes sustainable development can occur. This type of development aims to facilitate the empowerment of the local community or the primary stakeholders by ensuring their participation in informed decision making. When empowered people are able to take control of their own development and ensure their own needs and priorities are met.

PDaT has extensive experience in the international development context and offers consultants who are highly qualified, experienced, culturally sensitive, and gender aware. PDaT has worked in Australia, Bangladesh, Nepal, India, Indonesia, Timor Leste, Philippines, China, Vietnam, Papua New Guinea, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Botswana, Zambia, Malawi, Tanzania, Tonga, Swaziland, New Zealand, and United Kingdom.

Services offered by PDaT include project feasibility and design; monitoring and evaluation, including final evaluation; training; social analysis and assessment; gender analysis and mainstreaming; and policy development.
